Dresses

A dress should make getting dressed simpler, not harder. Our dresses are chosen for the way they move: belted and wrap midi dresses that mark the waist gently, satin and jacquard shirt dresses that work from the office to dinner, soft knit dresses for cold days, and tie-neck occasion maxis that need nothing more than a low heel. Most styles end between knee and ankle – the length that flatters almost every figure.

Which dresses suit your shape and season

Start with the waist. A tie belt or wrap front lets you decide how defined the middle is; an A-line or column cut skims the hips; a straight knit dress follows the body and is most comfortable with a little stretch. Fabric sets the season: satin and chiffon for spring and summer events, houndstooth and jacquard for autumn, ribbed and cable knits with a turtleneck for winter. Sleeve length changes a dress more than colour does, so decide whether you want cover or cool. Sizes run from XS to 3XL depending on the style, and the product page shows the fit status plus a centimetre chart; our Why the midi dress flatters every figure – and how to choose yours explains how to pick the cut that works for you. For body measurements and how to take them, see the Size guide. If you prefer separates with the same ease, our Skirts pair with the same blouses and knits.

Frequently asked questions

What length of dress is most flattering?

Midi length, ending between the knee and the ankle, suits most figures: it shows the narrowest part of the leg and moves gracefully. If you are shorter, choose a midi that ends just below the knee and a slim shoe. Maxi dresses look best when they skim the floor without dragging.

Can I wear a knit dress without it clinging?

Choose an A-line or button-front knit dress with a little structure, or wear a slip underneath a straight knit to smooth the line. A longer cardigan or a belt at the waist breaks up the silhouette. Ribbed knits cling more than cable or jacquard knits.

How do I style a shirt dress for work and for the weekend?

For work, button it fully, add a slim belt and wear it with loafers or a low block heel. At the weekend, open the top buttons, roll the sleeves and wear trainers or flat sandals. A shirt dress also works open as a light coat over a T-shirt and trousers.

Which dresses are suitable for a wedding guest?

Tie-neck and tie-waist occasion maxi dresses in a plain colour, satin shirt dresses, and belted midi dresses in a print all work for weddings. Avoid white and very bright red unless the invitation asks for it, and choose a fabric with some movement for an outdoor ceremony.

How quickly is my order delivered?

On average your order takes 4-6 working days to the Netherlands, 4-7 working days to Germany and 5-10 working days to Austria; the exact delivery time of each item is shown on its product page. As soon as your parcel ships, you'll receive a track & trace so you can follow the delivery.

Can I return my order?

Yes, you have a 14-day statutory cooling-off period. If the product doesn't suit you or you're not happy, simply send it back and get your money refunded.
